from the Unseen, All is Reborn
The following is a Vedic Sidereal Astrological and yogic perspective on current cosmic energies.
Welcome to the great depths of your soul,
the vast ocean of consciousness that sits just beyond your eyes..
tonight’s New Moon in Pisces invites us to dive deep within in our own hearts,
to listen for the whispers amidst the noise,
to discover what great potential within seeks to be known.
Just two weeks ago the full Moon Lunar eclipse in Leo asked us to recognize and acknowledge shadow aspects of ourselves, to see something we had been unable or unwilling to face about ourselves before… collectively and individually, ego’s around the world are realizing that, no matter how hard they try, “they’re "not actually in control”.. a realization that initially freaks the ego right out, but eventually, with enough practice and patience, becomes the salve that can soothe the mind amidst the seemingly endless chaos of the world. The unknown becomes are ally when we are ready to surrender to something greater than the self.
New Moon March 18/19
Pisces is all about the unknown, the deepest, darkest depths of the ocean where endless mystery and wonder abound… this new Moon in Pisces, in Uttara Badhrapada Nakshatra is all about going beyond that which we have known. The things we are choosing to change now are shifting fundamental aspects of our selves ~ who we believe ourselves to be, what we believe, what we desire, the kind of life we truly want to live, our soul’s deepest longings.. a rather auspicious time when the changes we make, or plan to make, now will ripple throughout our entire lives.
Cycles are ending and therefore new ones must begin. Uttara Badhrapada is represented by the underwater serpent as well as the funeral cot, which doesn’t necessarily mean death, but it does mean going beyond the familiar and leaving something behind. It means that for those who wish to connect with the deeper layers, to make the unconscious conscious and actively create ripples of change in our lives, now is a potent time for planting those seeds in the depths of our own consciousness.
Astrological New Year!
This new Moon aligns with the Astrological New Year and Equinox, which means that now is the time to (re)set intentions for the year ahead ~ intentions that when set around this new year energy will be set into the depths, therefore, focus on long-term goals and watch how they grow the deep roots needed to become strong and mighty trees.
Yogic and shamanic wisdom teachings tell us that the subtler one goes, the more powerful the effect. Intentions set with this new Moon, at the depths of consciousness, have the power to create deep meaningful change in our lives. If we are wanting to change an unconscious habit, release addictive patterns, or transform behavioural relationships patterns that drain our energy, for example, this is a most auspicious time of year for setting the intention ~ to plant the seed of that intention with the light of our awareness deep within consciousness is one of the surest ways to have it take root. As anyone who studies the oceans will tell you that the shifts in the deep undercurrents of the ocean create the greatest impact on the surface, such it is with our lives ~ what we change and shift at the deepest layers of our consciousness, the bio memory we are able to release in healing, the stuck energy life has a way of confronting, energy blocks we are able to shake out with our practices, the conditioned layers we are able to peel off.. all this and more is what creates fertile ground for the new seeds of awakening to grow.
Saturn transits Pisces for 2.5 years and is currently conjunct with Sun, Moon and Venus in Pisces for the New Moon. Wherever Pisces sits in one’s natal chart will be areas of one’s life that are full of the kinds of deep transformation and restructuring of values, boundaries, priorities and desires mentioned above. This new Moon is an excellent time to really work with this slowly transiting Saturn energy in our lives ~ to tune in and align with this powerful force. Saturn takes 30 years to move through the solar zodiac so anyone can do the math and see how often they may expect to have Saturn in Pisces in a lifetime. These are opportunities not to be missed because for some this may the most opportune time in this particular incarnation to work with Saturn in Pisces.
Sun, Saturn and Venus all join Moon in Pisces. Venus exalted in Pisces offers some much needed levity and light as on the other side, Mars and Rahu conjunct stationing Mercury in Aquarius and continue to reflect the tensions we are experiencing in the world. Individually and collectively, amidst this energy of newness and deep insight, there remains an undercurrent of struggle - a sense of an energy of “fighting for” something worthy when Aquarian energies are stirred like this.
Jupiter stationed last week and is now moving direct again. This should bring some sense of relief and clarity though it remains a bit more analytical than usual in Gemini for now. With Mercury about to station and direct but conjunct Rahu in Aquarius a little longer, we can surf the tension waves right into April… Be aware of overthinking things ~ intuition will be a greater ally during next few weeks ~ let your own inner knowing bloom like the lotus out of the depths of the dark mud… remember, it doesn’t always have to “make sense” for it to be true… After all… before actually seeing it happen, who ever expected to see lotuses growing out of mud?..
Reflection…
Jupiter was retrograde in Cancer and Gemini from Nov 11, 2025 - March 11, 2026 ~ take a moment to reflect & journal if you wish:
Over the last four months what changed for you?
What areas of your life were called into review?
What was called into expansion?
What glimpses into the future were you given?
Is there anything in life you feel you are being asked to let go?
Anything else that stands out for you from the past four months?
It may offer you some insight for the year ahead to reflect on the past few months as Jupiter now once again makes its way to Cancer in June. Experiences from the recent few months may shed some light on what could lay ahead. Having a reading to see where Cancer sits in your chart would be considered very helpful as Jupiter’s exalted transit here happens only once every 12 years and is considered a highly auspicious time for expansion, abundance, growth, prosperity and creativity. Knowing how to work with these energies specifically in our own lives really allows us to lean into the opportunities as they arise.
The Invitation
The invitation this Moon cycle is to remain open to possibilities, change, the unknown and the unseen. The seeds planted now in the dark become those aspects of ourselves that are reborn in the coming light. The equinox follows the dark Moon with the return of the light. Now is the time to tune in and slow down. To lean into our intuition over our logical, thinking mind and discover trust.
Not the kind of trust that stems from the ego thinking it has it “all under control”, but the kind of trust that arises when we look up at the dark night sky, stare into an abyss of stars and realize just how small we actually are… when we stop for a moment to observe our breath and realize that even if we can temporarily over-ride the program, with observation it takes very little time to discover that the grace of Spirit breathes us.
Amidst these layered new beginnings, the Sun and Saturn reflect the illusory battle between our own inner and outer worlds coming to a head. Now is a time that asks us to have patience as well courage, to be compassionate as well as honest with ourselves.. it is the time to follow our intuitive guidance and trust that we are guided even if we can’t see it yet.. It is the very act of trusting in grace that will reveal it for us to be known.
Yogic wisdom teaches that we are ALL master manifestors. We are born that way. In fact, none of us really need a course in “how to manifest” because we are all doing it, all the time. The real question is…how hoenstly are we willing to look at our lives as a reflection? Without judgment and in the interest of evolving, are we willing to call back the projections of our shadow, love them and integrate them back into our light?.. to hold ourselves in loving awareness?.. so that in time we may discover just how much, with each and every breath, we are loved?..

Pūrṇasya Pūrṇam Adāya

This is full and that is full, and
this full has come out of that full.
And even though this full
has come out of that full,
that full maintains its fullness.
This one mantra from the Upanishads encapsulates the whole Vedantic philosophy. “In just these few lines they are talking about today’s ‘new’ science, string theory, the Higgs field and the boson particle; talking about unity of multiple dimensions of reality.” ~ Anand Mehrotra, Liberation
From the unseen, all is reborn… the unknown becomes our ally when we are willing to surrender to something greater than the self.
More to follow very soon.

With prayers for peace,
Shanti
