Heart-Led Hands of Creation

Sidereal Full Moon in Virgo in Hasta Nakshatra brings a focus on “hands-on”, inspired action, health & healing. A time to bring our hands together in prayer, community and creativity… a time to reach our hands out in service, kindness and offer helping hands to those in need… a time to hold hands with one other and together stand up for a bright future…

This Full Moon is also Hanuman Jayanti ~ a time to celebrate and embody the highest consciousness and Mars energies of Hanuman who embodies the true essence of what it means to serve, to give and to love.

Full Moon in Virgo

Full Moon in Virgo naturally activates the 6th house of work, service, debts, pets and adversaries. While the illumination of a full Moon often brings clarity and insight into unseen aspects of our lives, other cosmic energies at play, such as Saturn and Sun in Pisces, are stirring up the deep waters of our consciousness likely creating confusion around some big life questions. Though there may be a feeling of wanting to move forward and take action right now, if you aren’t absolutely clear yet that this is the path you need to take, know that it is perfectly divine to wait until you know with clarity what your next steps are meant to be.

Hasta means “healing hands”. We often see this Nakshatra in the birth charts of hands on healers, like reiki or massage therapists for example, as well as artisans like sculptors, painters, musicians or writers, but also anyone who really loves to work with their hands whether gardening, cooking, building or crafting will likely have a planet (or two) in this Nakshatra.

At the same time, Moon in Virgo brings a depth and an internal focus, often on health & healing. If your rising or Moon sign (according to the Sidereal, Vedic system of Astrology) is in Virgo, this next two week period is likely to bring some kind of insight or breakthrough for you.

This is an auspicious time for all of us to take on a Sadhana, start a new meditation practice, learn a new skill and allow our innate gifts to (re) awaken and come online again. Unfortunately too many people are seeking outside themselves for clarity, asking AI and chatgpt to divine answers for them amidst the chaos and confusion of life on Earth right now, but the kind of wisdom humanity needs is not to be found outside ourselves. Despite what the ego wants to believe, we simply cannot think our way out of confusion. Clarity will come in surrender, in silence, in stillness..

Mars, Saturn, Sun in Pisces

April 2nd Mars moves into Pisces where Saturn and Sun currently challenge one another to see beyond the mundane aspects of worldly life and tune into a greater cosmic vision for oneself and all of humanity. It may initially feel odd to take time for going within when it can feelas if the world will self-destruct, but to keep from losing oneself in the chaos and the drama, it is perhaps the perfect time to ask ourselves what we truly wish to experience in life and focus on creating that.. hold the vision of a brighter future ~ for our children and for the Earth and all our relations, Spirit will show us the way if we are willing to listen. We can use the energy of Mars in Pisces to serve the greater good and achieve new depths of experience in our spiritual practices.

As the final sign of the solar zodiac, Pisces naturally represents transcendence and endings. Mars, Sun and Saturn (and Neptune) together here creates a lot of energy naturally in the 12th house across from the 6th. However, if you know your Vedic birth chart, I advise you to pay attention to where Pisces and Virgo sit for you as well. They will be directly opposite one another and will be dynamically engaged in a “karma vs dharma” kind of play for at least the next two weeks - the areas represented by the houses they sit will be strongly activated for you. April 10th Mercury will join the party in Pisces where it is debilitated, this has the potential to further complicate matters and from the 10th-14th, in particular, life may feel a little “swirly”. Thankfully, the Sun will move on to Aries after the 14th where it is exalted, renewing our sense of confidence and, over the course of the following month, our sense of clarity and purpose.

Neptune and Saturn have been together for about a year now and the current focus on oil and gas has been expected for some time. It’s likely to get more intense before it gets better but again we must take this time to ask ourselves what we really want. How do we really wish to live? To whom are we giving our power and why?

How can we practice aligning our attention with our intentions for life?… Energy always flows where attention goes so to what and to whom are giving our power and why?

Ketu in Magha

Saving the best for last… the timing couldn’t be more divinely aligned as Ketu makes it’s final move in Leo through Magha Nakshatra from March 29 - December 5th. Ketu rules this Nakshatra ~ MAGHA which means “greatness” and is represented by the royal throne, Ketu brings the dethroning for those undeserving of such a seat or title… we are likely to see significant shifts in leadership around the world during this time.

Rahu remains across in Aquarius during this 9 month transit and continues to fan the flames of revolution. Aquarius is the power of the people rising up. Aquarius energy is rebellious and generally uninterested in normalcy of any kind and let’s face it… in a world where corruption, deceit, poverty, oppression, greed and war have been normalized, we need this energy to correct our way of thinking and break down the systems that no longer serve.

Now is truly a time in history to pay attention to the space between words spoken, to tune into the silence where Spirit speaks and practice ways of accessing the subtler dimensions of reality to bring calm and clarity into the over-stimulated mind and body. A time to open our hands in the spirit of giving and receiving… to truly let go we have to release our grip, our hold on the past.. nothing stays the same but we can be part of positive change if we are willing to honestly face what is and then let it go… we must create space for the light to shine through and then we will see the way.

Historically Speaking…

One of my favourite things about Astrology is seeing the patterns throughout history ~ themes do have a way of repeating themselves though the details may be different. We can do this for ourselves in our own lives and we can do this collectively. Here are couple examples to consider and reflect upon:

KETU / RAHU

Historically the last time we saw this Ketu/Rahu transit was in 2007-2008 ~ another time connected to significant shifts in leaders and major economic upheaval in the world. This transit may seem to create chaos but really offers the opportunity to stir us out of our slumber of acceptance in its ability to expose corruption at the very top.

PLUTO

The last time we saw Pluto transiting sidereal Capricorn was 1773-1792, just as the industrial revolution began bringing massive change to the workforce and the way humanity interacted with the workplace. Now again we are in the midst of massive revolutionary change with the way we work in relation to AI and the technological interface in our work but also our personal lives ~ as more and more of us bring work into our homes and personal spaces. This revolutionary shift in how we work began in 2020 and will continue until 2040. Just think about how many of us changed the way we work and live in 2020?.. and that was only the beginning…
