Eclipse Rebirth

In Vedic Astrology, eclipses mark profound turning points, when light and shadow dance to reveal hidden truths and shift karmic patterns. Eclipses are cosmic resets. Today’s solar eclipse comes after a period of globally collective and individual challenges… this cosmic event continues the process of unveiling what has long been hidden and guides us in realigning, resetting and reshaping the way forward.

Today marks the Equinox and the final eclipse of 2025 ~ a partial solar eclipse at 4º of Virgo in Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra ~ this asterism marks the powerful threshold between Leo and Virgo of the solar zodiac, linking personal growth and development with service, purification and deep healing. Many things rise to the surface of our awareness at this time for acknowledgement. It is known that when eclipse falls in the sign of Virgo, we are called to address forgotten and ignored aspects of ourselves for healing and integration.

What does your heart desire the most? At the subtlest level of our being, our will is aligned with Divine will and therefore, it becomes our work to tune into those subtler layers in order to hear the whispers of our own inner cosmos. The mind is very loud and its rational sense of logistics can argue all day long, but the heart’s message is soft.. it whispers gently, even shyly… we receive the heart’s wisdom in moments of awareness, awakening and felt inner knowing. This wisdom is something we tune into in stillness, in nature, in states of meditative awareness and presence.

Uttara Phalguni is the nakshatra of union ~ the Star under which Shiva and Shakti married. This celestial wedding is considered auspicious and a symbol of eternal love, commitment, and divine harmony. The invitation of the eclipse, however, is not so much about finding a partner as it is about reclaiming our own wholeness - the sacred union of Divine masculine and Divine feminine within each of us. Virgo is known for health and healing, but also for discipline, devotion and service. Mercury, the ruling planet of Virgo, is exalted in Hasta Nakshatra offering clarity to eclipse insights over the next two weeks. Mercury here may also bring new inspiration for reorganizing one’s space and priorities.

Eclipses reveal that which has been hidden ~ either because it was kept secret, or simply because it lived in our “blind spot”. If one is willing to work with the eclipse energies and sit in receptive silence, the unconscious opens up and the heart whispers to us during these times, revealing that which helps guide us along our path.

Saturn is casting its gaze directly at the eclipse, further calling forth the aspects of our lives that require attention at this time. Saturn calls for the discipline needed to fulfill one’s highest potential. This eclipse is revealing the areas of our lives that need tuning, attention and daily discipline in order that we may live true to our heart’s whispers and walk our own unique, dharmic path. The invitation is to consciously align our daily choices with our dreams and trust our heart’s inner knowing to be true ~ even when the mind does not find “sense” in it. After all…. the greatest adventures in life do not often result from a “logical choice”, but rather are born out of an open heart following its bliss…

Eclipses are divinely designed to bring about a cosmic reset: the Lunar eclipse from two weeks ago highlighting for us what it is we truly want in life and the Solar eclipse helping to reveal the obstacles we place in our own way to embodying our heart’s deepest desire and ultimately, our divine soul’s destiny. The deeper you go into your core being, the stillness within, the greater the experience of this will be.

Virgo asks us to let go that which no longer serves us. Perhaps its a daily habit we are so accustomed to that we cannot see how it actually cuts us off from the divine flow. This solar eclipse is the time to let go, to remove our delusions and illusions.

Venus transits Leo which is normally a very creative and romantic time, but Ketu’s current presence in Leo adds another layer to the moment. Some close relationships may find themselves facing unresolved issues and working through challenges as Ketu’s influence to spiritualize takes effect over this transit. The invitation is for open, honest communication. With as little ego as possible, can we practice simply being present for another and listening with an open heart? The opportunity for relationships to deepen, evolve and transform exists in this sacred space of loving presence and awareness.

Mars transits Libra adding fire and an intensity to this Venus-ruled sign that consistently seeks balance but is also known to go to extremes in pursuit of harmony. Jupiter remains in Gemini but is steadily making its way toward Cancer next month where it will be exalted for a short time and offer us a glimpse into next year’s avenues of personal expansion and abundance.

Rahu in Aquarius continues to inspire global uprisings amongst the masses while simultaneously Ketu in Leo negates corrupt leaders. At this point you can pretty much pick a country anywhere and see how this is playing out - there is no need for me to pick on a particular one as this is a global event, a paradigm shift in human consciousness and awakening. Saturn’s aspects and influence will only intensify this energy over the next few months.

Tuning in and aligning ourselves to the flow is the work of Sadhana - daily spiritual practice. As long as we are in a state of stress, anxiety, fear or worry, the noise in the mind blocks out all other frequencies and we will miss the signs, symbols and synchronicities of Spirit. Tune within to align to the cosmic flow, surrender and step into your divine river of light… let it flow to you and through you. Allow it to expand the light that is you.
